Never too Used

I heard a great illustration today that I felt worthy of sharing…

If I found a twenty dollar bill in my purse all crumpled and worn and took it out and handed it to you, would you want it? Of course you would-no matter what condition it’s in, it’s still worth twenty bucks. If I threw it on the ground and stepped on it, then handed it to you, would you still want it? More than likely you would. It doesn’t matter where it’s been, what it’s been through, it is still valuable.
What is incredible, is that is how Jesus sees each one of us! He doesn’t care if you have lived a life of filth and sin. He loves you just as you are. You are still valuable in His eyes, no matter how you see yourself or how others see you. He will pick you up, dust you off and let you see the value He has placed in you. Once you have accepted His forgiveness for your sin, you will be as clean in His eyes as a fresh snowfall. He loved you enough to pay with His own life for all of your sin…Surely He bore your sorrows and is acquainted with your grief! (Biblical paraphrase)
YOU are of value to Him.
